Behind a solid performance from third baseman Zacarías Salazar, the Atlantic City Sonics defeated the Mercer Island Screaming Eagles, 8-4. Salazar was 2-5 with a home run and a double, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once for the Sonics. The loss drops Mercer Island to 5-2.

Salazar came through with some timely hitting for Atlantic City. With the score 3-1 in the top of the fourth and no one down, Salazar hit a 1-1 fastball for a 3-run home run. His 2nd home run of the season made it 4-3, Atlantic City.

"I felt good up there," said Salazar. "I saw the ball well."
