Screaming Eagles Get Win, Extend Streak to 4
The Mercer Island Screaming Eagles picked up a win at Chesapeake Grounds, knocking off the Chesapeake Continentals, 10-4. Starting pitcher Rio Dring played a key role in the triumph. The Screaming Eagles, now 4-1, have played some good baseball in the early going.

Mercer Island used the timely hitting of Brevyn Spann-Ford to capture the win. The shortstop socked a 2-run double in the top of the seventh inning to put the Screaming Eagles ahead, 5-2. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it was an important one.

"We're a talented bunch when we're playing well," said Spann-Ford. "I think we showed that here."
