Northville beat Tacoma at Old-Timers Park, eking out a 5-4 win. The win was due in large part to center fielder Harry Cornelis, who earned player of the game honors. Northville reliever Maxx Bleecher was credited with the win, to go to 5-2. Michael Leonard took the loss for Tacoma. Cristián Reyes got the save, his 1st in 1 chances.
Northville took a 5-4 lead on Daron Mack's 102nd hit of the season. The run-scoring single, which Mack hit in the bottom of the seventh, left Tacoma pitcher Ronald Wolfe shaking his head.
"Say want you want about this team, they play nine innings hard," said Northville manager Thomas Kemp.
The first-place Eclipse have won 4 in a row.
