Eclipse Drop Fighting Imps with Late Score
Northville beat Ithaca at Old-Timers Park, escaping with a 5-4 win. The win in large part was due to right fielder Colm Shapland, who earned player of the game honors. He went 3 for 4 with 2 doubles, while scoring 2 runs. Reliever Chang-hoon Park picked up the win. His record improves to 4-5. Doug Schmidt took the loss. Northville has an impressive 69-28 record.

Northville took a 5-4 lead on Daniel Divina's 61st hit of the season. The run-scoring single, which Divina hit in the bottom of the eighth, left Ithaca pitcher Doug Schmidt shaking his head.

Divina said afterward that his team has grown over the course of the season, adding: "It feels good when a plan comes together."
