Lake Minnetonka Topples Tacoma, 9-5
The Tacoma Fur Traders and Lake Minnetonka Love Boats cranked it up at Heron Field.

Nick Harper had a good game, but he could not keep the Tacoma Fur Traders from falling, 9-5, to the Lake Minnetonka Love Boats at Heron Field. The Tacoma second baseman was 3-4 with a home run and a double, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2 in the loss. Alan Halsall was the winning pitcher. Over 6.2 innings, he allowed 3 runs on 7 hits, with 4 walks and 8 strikeouts.

In the bottom of the third, Alfredo Garza hit a 2-run double for Lake Minnetonka. The 10th double of the season for the Lake Minnetonka right fielder put the Love Boats on top, 3-2.

"We put it together today and came out with the win," Garza said in postgame remarks. "That's the main thing."

The Love Boats bumped their record to 49-37 with this latest triumph.
