Youth Get Win, Extend Streak to 4
|
Getting an impressive start from Matt Dunn, Phoenix Hotspur beat Northville by the score of 5-2. Eduardo Arroyo picked up the save, his 2nd. The Youth, now 38-35, have won 4 in a row.
The Eclipse had been locked in a 2-2 tie with the Youth going into the bottom of the sixth inning. That changed quickly when the 26-year old shortstop Keith York came to the plate. York hit a run-scoring single on a full count fastball from Northville hurler Víctor Deleón. It was York's 54th hit of the year.
"Matt is tough when he's hitting his spots," said Phoenix Hotspur manager Micheal Garren.
