Donald McJannett had a good game, but he could not keep the Ithaca Fighting Imps from falling, 11-9, to the Irving Blue Sox at Imps Park. The Ithaca left fielder was 2 for 4 with a home run and a walk, while adding 5 RBI and scoring once in the loss. Napoleon Vitagliano got the save, the 14th for him this season. Ithaca is still trying to get off the schneid, having lost 6 in a row.

Irving used the timely hitting of Stu Taylor to capture the win. The catcher stroked a 2-run double in the top of the fifth inning to put the Blue Sox on top, 7-4. It was his only hit in 3 at-bats, but he made it count.
