The 2038 season is getting ugly for Olympia.
The Lancaster Farmers downed the Olympia Ogres, 7-4, at The Ogre Den. Mfiondu Kabengele led the way, going 3-for-4 for Lancaster. Robert Alves, the winner, improved to 4-6. He held the Ogres to 3 earned runs on 6 hits over 6 innings, while striking out 7 and walking 5.
Lancaster took a 6-3 lead on Kabengele's 3rd double of the season. The bases-clearing double, which he hit off Philip Hynes in the top of the sixth, propelled Lancaster to the win.
"Baseball is about momentum," said Kabengele, "and we feel we've got it in our favor after that win."
Olympia's current losing streak has reached 4 games.
