Shuckers Bang Out 6-3 Win Versus Ithaca
|
The Biloxi Shuckers picked up a win at The Pizza Oven, knocking off the Ithaca Fighting Imps, 6-3. Starting pitcher Roberto Cabrera played a key role in the triumph. Biloxi is 29-36 and Ithaca, with the loss, 31-34.
One important at-bat came with runners on 1st and 3rd in the bottom of the sixth inning. Facing Ithaca hurler Dominic Raymond, Joel Iyiegbuniwe, who is tied for 7th in the SAA in stolen bases with 14, got hit by a pitch. The Shuckers went on to win.
"I liked his command," said Biloxi manager Ramiro Guzmán. "Roberto was throwing strikes."
