|
Ithaca starter Maximiano Mealha had a strong outing against the Tacoma Fur Traders at Imps Park. The left-hander was a big part of his team's 4-3 win. Jeffery Brock was credited with the save for Ithaca, his 14th of the season. Their 26-27 record puts the Fighting Imps 5th in the Silver AA.
Ithaca took a 4-3 lead on Pedro Reyes's 8th double of the season. The run-scoring double, which Reyes hit in the bottom of the seventh, left Tacoma pitcher Steve Jackson visibly frustrated.
Tacoma manager George Sanford said he was "mildly disappointed" with the loss. "We had our opportunities, but we didn't take advantage of them," he said.
