The Lancaster Farmers defeated the Biloxi Shuckers, 8-6, at The Pizza Oven today. Leading the charge for Lancaster was first baseman Dragoljub Kandic. He was 4 for 5 with 4 singles. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Lancaster reliever Nino Ghannam picked up the win, upping his record to 1-1. Cedomil Dudukovic shouldered the loss. Alfonso Hadalgo nailed down his 4th save.

Lancaster took a 7-6 lead on Kandic's 58th hit of the season. The run-scoring single, which he hit off Cedomil Dudukovic in the top of the seventh, propelled Lancaster to the win.

"The beers will taste better tonight after this win," said the ever-candid Kandic.

Lancaster is now 23-28.
