|
The Chicago Silver Sox topped the Portland Evergreens, 7-6, with third baseman Manuel Ramos playing a big role. Ramos went 2 for 4 with 2 home runs for the Silver Sox in the win. Chicago reliever Julián Moreno was credited with the win, to go to 2-3. Raúl Romero took the loss for Portland. The Silver Sox' win now puts them at 41-45.
Larry McLambroch contributed to the Chicago win with a run-scoring single in the bottom of the seventh. For the game, the designated hitter had 2 hits in 4 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 1 run scored, and 3 RBI.
