Fur Traders Walk Off with Win
The Ballpark of Tacoma faithful were treated to a thrilling, walk-off win.

The Tacoma Fur Traders defeated the Lake Minnetonka Love Boats, 10-9. Earning player of the game honors was catcher Eric Martínez, who went 3 for 4 with a double, 2 singles, and a walk. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. Tacoma reliever José Hernández was the winner. His record is now 1-0. The losing pitcher was Mark Jacobson.

Elmer Kent, who is tied for 9th in the SAA in home runs with 8, contributed to the Tacoma win with a run-scoring single in the bottom of the ninth. For the game, the third baseman had 2 hits in 5 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 1 run scored, and 3 runs batted in.

"We fed off the energy of the crowd at the end," Kent said.
