Love Boats Defeat Fur Traders, 3-1

The Lake Minnetonka Love Boats got a magnificent performance from pitcher Carlos López, who muffled the Tacoma offense en route to a tight 3-1 Love Boats win at Ballpark of Tacoma. López went 7.1 innings to notch the win. He scattered 4 hits, walked 2, and struck out 9. His record improves to 3-3. The Love Boats sit in third place in the Silver AA with a record of 29-20.
The Love Boats benefited from a costly error in the top of the fourth. With Eric Martínez at bat and Lake Minnetonka leading 1-0, the Tacoma miscue allowed Lake Minnetonka to plate 1 and take the lead, 2-0.
"It takes a lot of things to win a ballgame," said Lake Minnetonka manager Culley Adjeng. "It's usually not just one thing."
