The Phoenix Hotspur Youth went down to defeat to Hugh Scott and his Lancaster teammates. The final score was 5-0 in favor of the Farmers. Scott got the win, improving to 3-6. He allowed 4 hits and walked 3 over 7 innings. Scott allowed no earned runs. Alfonso Hadalgo earned the save for Lancaster, his 3rd of the year.
The Farmers got a big at-bat from first baseman Dragoljub Kandic. For the game, Kandic was 1 for 4. He drove in 2 runs. In the bottom of the sixth, with the bases loaded, he stroked a 2-run single. His 49th hit of the season gave Lancaster a 2-0 lead.
"I really like what we did out there today," Scott said after the game.
Lancaster, now 19-27, holds 9th place in the Silver AA.
