|
Lake Minnetonka right-hander Albert Pérez made an effective start against the Ithaca Fighting Imps at Heron Field, leading his team to a 3-2 win. Pérez, now 5-1, was the winner. In 6 innings, he gave up 4 hits, while striking out 3, walking 5, and allowing no earned runs. The save was credited to Takejiro Masuda, his 7th.
Alfonso Cabedo, who is tied for 9th in the SAA in home runs with 7, came through for Lake Minnetonka with a 2-run home run in the bottom of the first. The left fielder went 2 for 4 for the game, including 1 home run and 1 double. He scored 1 run and collected 2 runs batted in.
"We'll pop the top on a cold one and get back to work tomorrow," Pérez said.
Lake Minnetonka, now 26-19, holds 4th place in the Silver AA.
