Youth Come Back Late to Clip Blue Sox
The Phoenix Hotspur Youth got a strong performance from pitcher José Correa, who stymied the Irving offense en route to a 5-2 win at Grenadiers Ballpark. The winner was Sean Neely in relief. His record improves to 1-2. Ralph Minor took the loss. Dan Bell was called on to finish, recording his 3rd save.

One important at-bat came with a runner on 1st in the bottom of the eighth inning. Facing Irving hurler Ralph Minor, Alfonso Ramírez hit a single. The Youth went on to win.

Ramírez told a Phoenix Hotspur Citizen reporter that he was "more than satisfied" with the win.

Phoenix Hotspur has a 3-game win streak, while Irving has lost 3 in a row.
