BC Rally For Late Win Over Highlanders
|
The San Antonio BC topped the Asheville Highlanders, 4-3, in M3L Double A action at San Antonio Field. The player of the game was San Antonio pitcher Steve Fitzpatrick. Tuna Altuna, credited with the win, is now 2-3. He allowed no runs on no hits in 1 innings. The BC raised their record to 43-58.
Alfonso Torres was the walk-off hero for San Antonio. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the BC pinch hitter hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.
"I was a little disappointed," said Asheville manager William Franklin. "We could've and should've scored more runs."
