Blimps Pin 7-4 Loss on Highlanders

The Akron Blimps picked up a win at Asheville Park, knocking off the Asheville Highlanders, 7-4. Starting pitcher Dan Burton played a key role in the triumph. In 7 innings, Burton surrendered 3 hits, while striking out 4 and walking 2. He allowed 1 run. Picking up the save was Oakland Scanlan, his 16th.
Akron took control in the top of the sixth. With two out and a runner on 2nd, León Castillo hit a run-scoring single to make it 2-1, Blimps.
Castillo told a Akron Daily News reporter that he was "satisfied" with the win.
At 47-36, the Blimps find themselves in 4th place in the Menard's AA.
