Tight Tilt Goes to BC, 4-3
|
San Antonio beat Billings on the strength of starter Ramón Negrón's fine effort. The left-hander led his team to a 4-3 win. Steve Fitzpatrick got credit for the win, improving to 5-4. He allowed no runs on no hits in 2.1 innings. Tuna Altuna got the save, the 2nd for him this season.
San Antonio took a 4-3 lead on Fergus Stidston's 28th hit of the season. The run-scoring single, which Stidston hit in the top of the seventh, left Billings pitcher Brant Mielke shaking his head.
"We're just going to try to build off this win," said Stidston.
The 10th-place BC now have a win-loss record of 32-45.
