The Belvedere Park Rawhides topped the Bethesda Atoms, 2-1, in M3L Double A action at Field of the Rawhides. The player of the game was Belvedere Park pitcher and Aurora, Colorado native Kenny James. James, the winner, moves to 6-5. He threw 6.2 innings of 3-hit ball, while fanning 5 and giving up 2 walks. Pierre Delecto, credited with the save, is now 16 for 20 in save opportunities.
In the bottom of the third, Mauro Jasso hit a 2-run home run for Belvedere Park. The 3rd home run of the season for the Belvedere Park right fielder put the Rawhides on top, 2-0.
"I tell our guys all the time, 'Every pitch is the right pitch if you put it in the right place, you believe in it and have conviction,'" Belvedere Park manager Dave Webb said.
With the win, Belvedere Park has a record of 37-36. Bethesda falls to 45-28.
