84s Stumble, Lose to Rainbow Mermaids
The Northern Virginia Rainbow Mermaids got a stellar performance from pitcher Eddie Kop, who handcuffed the Greenville offense en route to a 8-2 win at 84s Field. The Rainbow Mermaids have an impressive 55-23 record.

Northern Virginia used the bat of Tural Bishara to capture the win. The left fielder jacked a 2-run home run in the top of the sixth inning to put the Rainbow Mermaids ahead, 2-0. It was his lone hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a dandy.

"We didn't put up much resistance," said losing manager John Bosma.
