|
In a low-scoring tilt between the Akron Blimps and the Billings Polar Bears, Eddo Mud was the difference-maker. The Akron right-hander earned player of the game honors in the 3-2 win. Dewitt Clendaniel earned the save for Akron, his 8th. The losing streak for Billings has now reached 5 games.
Akron used the timely hitting of León Castillo to seize the win. The center fielder stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the tenth inning to put the Blimps on top, 3-2. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
