Ramos Helps Akron Cruise to 11-0 Win
The Richland Rails and Akron Blimps brought some excitement to Rails Ballpark.

The Akron Blimps put together a convincing win at Rails Ballpark, defeating the Richland Rails, 11-0. Roberto Ramos was one of the hitting stars. He was 2 for 3 with 2 home runs and 2 walks. He drove in 3 runs and scored twice for Akron. Stephen Palmer earned the win to go to 5-3. He allowed no earned runs on 4 hits, with 1 walk and 4 strikeouts.

The Blimps grabbed the lead in the top of the third. With one out, Jhett Larson hit a 3-run home run off Zuo-lin Liang, putting Akron in front, 6-0. For Larson, it was his 2nd home run of the season.

"I still think this team has room for improvement," Ramos told the Akron Daily News.

The Blimps now have a record of 30-24.
