Rawhides Fall Short, 7-6, at Asheville

It was a fun time at Asheville Park, where the Belvedere Park Rawhides and Asheville Highlanders tangled.
Francis Raffone was instrumental in his team's 7-6 triumph over the Belvedere Park Rawhides. The shortstop was 1 for 3 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 3 for the Asheville Highlanders. The Highlanders saw their win-loss record go to 30-23. At the same time, the Rawhides fell to 25-28.
Raffone came through with some timely hitting for Asheville. With the score 4-3 in the bottom of the fifth and two down, Raffone hit a first pitch fastball for a 3-run home run. His 3rd home run of the season made it 7-3, Asheville.
"We played hard and won," said Raffone. "Sometimes, baseball really is that easy.'
