Miners Prevail, 4-2, Over Richland
|
Marquette and Richland duked it out at Rails Ballpark and the Miners came out victorious.
Marquette beat Richland on the strength of starter Frasier Crane's fine effort. The right-hander led his team to a 4-2 win. Crane got the win, improving to 1-4. He allowed 2 hits and walked 6 over 5 innings. Crane allowed 1 earned run. Joe Gorman sewed up the save, his 5th.
Marquette relied on the hitting of Alexander Conley to pick up the win. The shortstop ripped a run-scoring triple in the top of the third inning to put the Miners on top, 1-0. For the game, Conley had 1 triple and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
"Nice to put this one in the win column," said Conley.
The Miners, at 17-33, sit in last place in the Menard's AA.
