The Blimps had to overcome a fine performance from Bethesda pitcher Joshua Neal to grab a 7-4 win at Atoms Field. Neal allowed no earned runs over 6 innings. Akron reliever Wiley Washington picked up the win to move to 2-2. Bradley Leeder suffered the loss. Akron now sits at 24-21, while Bethesda falls to 26-19.

Ruby Rhod hit a 2-run triple off Bradley Leeder in the top of the ninth, which put the Blimps in front, 4-2. Rhod had 2 singles, in addition to the triple. For the game, he went 3 for 5.

"We put it together today and came out with the win," Rhod said in postgame remarks. "That's the main thing."
