The Greenville 84s defeated the Northern Virginia Rainbow Mermaids, 7-2, at 84s Field today. Leading the charge for Greenville was catcher Doug Allerdale. He hit 2 home runs, while scoring 3 times and driving in 2. The 84s now have a mark of 42-34.

Greenville designated hitter Jimbob Ghostkeeper contributed to the cause with a double in the bottom of the second. For the game, Ghostkeeper went 1-4 with a double.
