Highlanders Squelch Miners Offense in Shutout Win
The Asheville Highlanders went home winners at Asheville Park, thanks in large part to starter Patrick Nicolas. Nicolas silenced the Marquette Miners, enabling Asheville to grab the 4-0 win. The win puts the Highlanders at 18-16, while the Miners drop to 10-24.

In the bottom of the first, José Ocasio hit a 2-run home run for Asheville. The 5th home run of the season for the Asheville designated hitter put the Highlanders on top, 2-0.

"We'll enjoy this win," said Ocasio. "But there's more we hope to accomplish."
