Highlanders Knock Off Rawhides at Field of the Rawhides

A 3-RBI performance from Carsello Scruggins, who is tied for 3rd in the 3AA in stolen bases with 10, helped the Asheville Highlanders beat the Belvedere Park Rawhides, 7-3. The 'W' lifts Asheville's record to 17-16.
Scruggins had a game-changing single in the top of the seventh. On a 1-0 fastball from Fernando Alou, he banged a run-scoring single to right-center, giving the Highlanders a 4-3 lead. It was the 36th hit of the year for Scruggins.
Scruggins told the Asheville Daily News: "I don't know which I enjoy more -- being a ballplayer or the perks that come with being a ballplayer."
