Highlanders Lose, 4-3, at Field of the Rawhides
|
The Belvedere Park Rawhides and Asheville Highlanders played an exciting game at Field of the Rawhides.
Starting pitcher Ramón Tassis pitched well enough to help the Belvedere Park Rawhides beat the Asheville Highlanders by the score of 4-3. Belvedere Park reliever Jang-lu Moy was credited with the win, to go to 2-1. Pat Inman took the loss for Asheville. Pierre Delecto earned the save, his 8th, for the Rawhides.
Richello Oliva drew 1 walk for Belvedere Park. The 24-year old third baseman had a key at-bat in the bottom of the fifth. With one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 2-2 tie with a run-scoring walk off Pat Inman. It was his 20th walk of the season.
"The more wins we pile up," said Oliva, "the more I like our chances."
The Highlanders have now dropped 5 straight.
