It was a good time at Goodyear Hanger Dome, where fans came to watch the Casper Ghosts and Akron Blimps get after it.
The Akron Blimps got a stellar effort from pitcher Stephen Palmer, helping Akron score a 5-1 win over the visiting Casper Ghosts. Akron has now reeled off 6 straight wins.
Ruby Rhod, who is tied for 8th in the 3AA in home runs with 4, chipped in for Akron with a solo home run in the bottom of the fifth. For the game, the left fielder had 3 hits in 4 at-bats with 1 home run, 2 singles, 1 run scored, and 1 RBI.
"Stephen is tough when he's hitting his spots," said Akron manager Barrett Abbott.
