Rhod Helps Blimps Run Win Streak to 5

The Akron Blimps dealt the Casper Ghosts a 7-0 loss at Goodyear Hanger Dome. Ruby Rhod was the star on offense. He was 4-4 with a home run, a triple, 2 singles, and a walk. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2. Jay Cannon, who went 8.2 innings, was the winning pitcher. He was charged with no runs on 3 hits, while walking 3 and striking out 7. His record now stands at 4-0. Akron now has a 5-game win streak.
Early in the game, first baseman Mathew Mayo had a 2-run home run for Akron. It was his 7th home run of the season and put the Blimps on top, 2-0.
