BC Drop Another One
|
Belvedere Park third baseman Richello Oliva was instrumental in his team's 5-3 win over the San Antonio BC. Oliva, who is tied for 7th in the 3AA in home runs with 4, went 2-3 with 1 run scored to lead the offensive attack for the Rawhides. Fernando Alou got credit for the win, improving to 2-0. He allowed no runs on no hits in 1.2 innings. The losing streak for San Antonio has now reached 5 games.
Oliva had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the seventh. On a 0-1 fastball from Shadi Zafar, he banged a 2-run home run to left, giving the Rawhides a 4-3 lead. It was the 4th home run of the year for Oliva.
"You can't get too high when things go well, or too low when things go bad. Right now, I'm just happy we got the win," Oliva told the Belvedere Park Chronicle.
