Kop Sensational for Rainbow Mermaids
The Voodoo Lounge was the site for United States Premier League action featuring the New Orleans Voodoo and Northern Virginia Rainbow Mermaids.

The Northern Virginia Rainbow Mermaids racked up a win at The Voodoo Lounge, bumping off the New Orleans Voodoo, 8-1. Eddie Kop, who started for Northern Virginia, pitched effectively for his team. Northern Virginia leads the Premier League by 7˝ games.

Kop imposed his will on the Voodoo, scattering 5 hits over 8 innings while striking out 8. The right-hander upped his season record to 7-2.

"That's the key at this level, throwing strike one," said Kop. "Successful pitchers do it."
