McSriff Helps Nationals Beat BC
The Ottawa Nationals knocked off the San Antonio BC, 10-3, at San Antonio Field. Rey McSriff, who captured player of the game honors, was a big reason Ottawa won. The first baseman was 3-4 with a home run, 2 doubles, and a walk, while scoring 3 runs and driving in 3. The winner was Yoshihide Hirata in relief. His record improves to 1-1. Patrick Ibáñez took the loss. Ottawa is now 10-11.

McSriff had a game-changing home run in the top of the sixth. On a 0-1 changeup from Patrick Ibáñez, he banged a 3-run home run to left, giving the Nationals a 5-2 lead. It was the 2nd home run of the year for McSriff.

"I don't feel you win baseball games by working harder than the other team or 'wanting it more,'" McSriff told the Ottawa News. "You win just by scoring more runs."
