Rainbow Mermaids Lose to Patriots, 6-1
Spirited fans at Atlantica greeted the Northern Virginia Rainbow Mermaids for their clash with the Boston Patriots.

The Boston Patriots defeated the Northern Virginia Rainbow Mermaids, 6-1, in United States Premier League action at Atlantica, with Boston pitcher Elton Coalan named player of the game. The 6th-place Patriots improved to 33-38.

One important at-bat came with a runner on 1st in the top of the sixth inning. Facing Northern Virginia hurler Ricardo García, Dennis Wacher, who is tied for 7th in the PL in triples with 4, hit a double. The Patriots went on to win.

"We had a nice day," said Boston skipper Tyler Carter.
