5 Straight Wins for Ghosts
The Casper Ghosts topped the Akron Blimps, 7-6, with youngster Walke Mehoff playing a key role. Mehoff went 3-5 with a home run and 2 singles, while scoring 2 times and driving in 3 for the Ghosts in the win. Casper reliever Marty McFly picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Dewitt Clendaniel shouldered the loss. Anthony Hurst got the save, the 4th for him this season.

Casper took a 7-6 lead on Luigino Colombo's 16th hit of the season. The run-scoring single, which Colombo hit in the bottom of the eighth, left Akron pitcher Dewitt Clendaniel visibly frustrated.

"We take it day by day here," said Mehoff, "and today was a good one for us."

The Blimps fall to 5-7 and continue their uneasy start to the 2038 season.
