Rawhides Need Extra Frames to Get Past BC
|
The Belvedere Park Rawhides outlasted the San Antonio BC in an extra-inning thriller.
The Belvedere Park Rawhides defeated the San Antonio BC, 6-5, at San Antonio Field today. Leading the charge for Belvedere Park was first baseman Alec Hall. He was 4-5 with a double, 3 singles, and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Gregory Powers got credit for the save for Belvedere Park. It was his 2nd of the year.
The most crucial at-bat for Belvedere Park came in the top of the tenth inning. That's when Hall stroked a 1-1 sinker to center for a run-scoring single, putting Belvedere Park up, 6-5.
"We had a chance to win," said San Antonio manager John Wright, "but we didn't get it done."
The Rawhides keep rolling, raising their record to 8-4.
