Polar Bears Top Highlanders Behind Rollins, 2-0
|
The Billings Polar Bears went home winners at Asheville Park, thanks in large part to starter Nick Rollins. Rollins silenced the Asheville Highlanders, enabling Billings to grab the 2-0 win. Brandon Hughes was credited with the save for Billings, his 3rd of the season. With the win, Billings pushes its record to 3-3.
Rollins was in the zone all game. He frustrated Asheville hitters while giving the Polar Bears 6 innings of quality work. Rollins threw 83 pitches, allowing 1 hit and getting 5 punchouts.
"Nick's tempo and rhythm were good," said Polar Bears manager Ronald Harmon. "He was the key to us winning."
