Toledo second baseman Adam Clements had a good game, even if his team did not. The Stingers dropped a 10-8 decision to Montana at Pacesetter Park. Clements went 3-4 with a double, 2 singles, and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 3. Montana reliever Hiro Kurasawa was the winner. His record is now 5-5. The losing pitcher was Enrique Castillo. Goodluck Obasanjo got the save, his 1st in 1 chances.

Montana needed the clutch hitting of Raúl Ruíz to notch the win. The second baseman hammered a grand slam home run in the top of the sixth inning to put the Pandas on top, 6-5. For the game, Ruíz had 1 home run and 1 single in 6 at-bats.

"We'll grab a cold one tonight and go after another win tomorrow," Ruíz said.

The 10th-place Pandas improved to 43-64.
