Piranhas Drop Another One
|
The Cleveland Browns topped the Panama City Piranhas, 5-3, in Menard's Third League action at Factory of Sadness. The player of the game was Cleveland pitcher and Gorham, Maine native Shawn Williams. The Piranhas, now 48-56, have lost 7 straight.
The Piranhas had been locked in a 2-2 tie with the Browns going into the bottom of the fifth inning. That changed quickly when the 28-year old second baseman Katsuhiko Ishihara came to the plate. Ishihara hit a 2-run single on a first pitch fastball from Panama City hurler Tobías Pérez. It was Ishihara's 44th hit of the year.
"As well as we've been playing, I think we can play even better," said Cleveland manager Greg Diersing.
