Cattlemen Get Road Win, 4-2
|
Ft. Worth Cattlemen starter Gustavo Tobías was in a rhythm all game. He led his team to a win over the Brooklyn Dodgers, 4-2. Tobías got the win, improving to 13-5. He allowed 5 hits and walked 0 over 7.1 innings. Tobías allowed 2 earned runs. The Cattlemen, now 64-39, have won 4 in a row.
Ft. Worth used the bat of Craig Woods to get the win. The left fielder hammered a 3-run home run in the top of the first inning to put the Cattlemen ahead, 4-0. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it did its damage.
"I felt we were ready to go," said Ft. Worth manager Scott Thompson. "Our pregame was pretty good."
