Pandas Stymie Panama City, Take 3-1 Win
|
The Pandas had to overcome a fine effort from Panama City pitcher Todd Serrano to grab a narrow 3-1 win at The Tank. Serrano went 6.1 innings and allowed 3 earned runs. Rick Converse earned his 1st save in 1 chances. The Pandas now own a record of 38-60.
Montana used the timely hitting of Kent Summey to seize the win. The shortstop stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the sixth inning to put the Pandas on top, 2-0. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
"I'm just happy to help the team win," Summey told the Montana Chronicle.
