Piranhas LF Mendoza goes 4-for-4 in Win
|
The Panama City Piranhas defeated the Echo Park Lakers, 9-1, at LA Forum today. Leading the charge for Panama City was right fielder António Mendoza. He went 4-4 with a double and 3 singles. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. With the win over Echo Park, the Piranhas improved to 45-47.
Panama City grabbed the momentum in the top of the fifth, when Mendoza hit a bases-clearing double. His 9th double of the season put the Piranhas out in front, 4-1.
"We swung the bats good throughout the lineup," said Panama City skipper Brian Talamante.
