Patriots Shut Out Oaks
|
Faisal bin Nabeel pitched well, but the Oakland Oaks still lost the game, falling 3-0 to the Boston Patriots at Oakland Coliseum. Sam Mooney was called on to finish, recording his 3rd save. Oakland's current losing streak is now 5 games.
It could have been a different outcome for Boston, had it not been for Dave Broom, the 27-year old center fielder . Broom contributed a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the top of the sixth inning to put Boston up, 2-0.
"Can't say enough about our pitching," said Broom.
