Piranhas Deal Browns 8-5 Setback
|
The Panama City Piranhas topped the Cleveland Browns, 8-5, with shortstop Quindarious Monday playing a big role. Monday was 2 for 4 with a home run, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 3 for the Piranhas in the win. Harry Stuterberg got credit for the win, improving to 9-6. He allowed 4 runs on 6 hits in 7.1 innings. At 44-46, Panama City is in 8th place in the Third League.
Arnie Taylor, who was drafted in the 3rd round of the 2033 draft, contributed to the Panama City win with a 3-run home run in the bottom of the third. For the game, the second baseman had 2 hits in 4 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 1 run scored, and 3 runs batted in.
"We believe in ourselves and we're willing to work hard. It's a good combination," Taylor told the Panama City Times.
