Browns Prevail, 9-7, Over Panama City

The Cleveland Browns racked up a win at The Tank, bumping off the Panama City Piranhas, 9-7. Ryunosuke Kurota, who started for Cleveland, pitched effectively for his team. Kurota, the winner, moves to 3-3. He threw 6 innings of 4-hit ball, while fanning 10 and giving up 2 walks. Cleveland is now 48-40, while Panama City is 42-46.
Cleveland used the timely hitting of Lauren Hilfiker to capture the win. The first baseman socked a 3-run home run in the top of the first inning to put the Browns ahead, 3-0. It was his only hit in 2 at-bats, but it was a big one.
"I'm just looking for a good pitch that I can hit well," said Hilfiker. "And not try to do too much."
