Patriots Come Back Late to Clip BC

The Boston Patriots got a strong performance from pitcher Elton Coalan, who stymied the Philadelphia 1776 offense en route to a 3-2 win at Dunkin Donuts Park. Boston, now 30-36, holds 7th place in the Premier League.
In the bottom of the ninth, with one out and the game tied, 2-2, third baseman Dennis Wacher won it for Boston. With a runner on 1st, Wacher hit a first pitch fastball from Ron Fernández for a run-scoring double, giving his team a 3-2 win.
"We fed off the energy of the crowd at the end," Coalan said.
