Dodgers Stay Hot, Beat Knights
|
It was a fun time at Ebbetts Field, where the Kingston Township Knights and Brooklyn Dodgers tangled.
Carlos Muñóz left his imprint on the 5-0 Brooklyn win against the Kingston Township Knights. Muñóz went 1 for 1 with a home run, 2 walks, and was hit by a pitch. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. Davis Sawyer got the win, improving to 4-3. He worked 6.1 innings, giving up no runs on 6 hits, while striking out 4 and walking 2.
Muñóz came through with some timely hitting for Brooklyn. With the score 0-0 in the bottom of the third and two down, Muñóz hit a 1-1 splitter for a 2-run home run. His 11th home run of the season made it 2-0, Brooklyn.
"I don't lose sleep over a loss," said Muñóz. "But I have better dreams after a win."
The third-place Dodgers have won 5 in a row.
